Table Talk is a conversational game that helps you discuss challenging topics, create honest and safe communities, laugh with friends, encourage and support other people. Each of the six themes has 16 question cards in it, you can preview some of these questions below.
INTRODUCING THE THEMES
Life is dominated by small everyday routines – being at home and spending time with friends and family. The fabric of our existence is woven with countless memories of simple things, like what we have to eat or what we watch on television. This set of questions is about the business of living and things that may seem significant or things that may seem insignificant.
“It’s the people in your life that matter most!” This is a lesson we learn with maturity. Being loved and respected is essential to living a good life, but losses of later life can sometimes bring loneliness. This set of questions gives players an opportunity to reflect on friendship and family; the ties that bind.
In later years especially, we look back on what has happened during our lives. We can revisit people, places and events that hold significance for us. With this set of questions, take a trip down memory lane and relive some of the experiences you’ve cherished. They may just reveal the influences that made you the person you are today.
Health & Well-being
“I still feel young but my body can’t keep up!” Many of us keep smiling despite the trials of poor health. What is the secret to staying positive despite pain and disability? These questions invite players to talk through how to look after your self and accept gracefully the physical and mental signs of ageing!
Age is associated with wisdom. There’s 'nothing new under the sun', and many of today’s challenges echo problems we faced as a nation in previous decades. The legacy we are leaving our children and grandchildren preoccupies many of us. These questions are aimed at helping players discuss some of the big issues of the day.
