You can help encourage conversation with those who come along to your cafe by putting a couple of Table Talk cards on each table. Allow people to pick the questions and direct the conversation.
You could have a ‘question of the day’ written somewhere, so everyone is talking about the same thing. Put it on a whiteboard and let people add comments, or use a TV screen to display the question.
Ask a young person to choose a topic, then pick a card from that deck. They can answer it themselves, or open it up to the rest of the group.
Use Table Talk cards as an ice-breaker activity for a lesson or a tutor group. Pass out cards for students to discuss in small groups, or read out one question from the front.
When you meet up with friends, take one theme from a Table Talk pack with you. Alternatively, suggest getting together specifically to chat about life, you could even make it a regular event! This works great in a pub, cafe or restaurant setting.
Grab some cards or coasters and use them round the dinner table or on a car jounrney. You could even make up some of your own questions for a unique family expansion pack!
If you are running an event, you could give a free coaster to every person who attends.
